26. Services – You can offer a paid service, such as life coaching, blog coaching, goal setting or financial planning. Just be sure to investigate all the legal implications and make sure you’re not claiming to be a professional if you’re not one. With a service like this, you’re basically using your blog to sell yourself. You’ll need to convince people that you’re worth buying and then be able to back up your claims once they purchase your service.
One of the most commonly explained and followed way, but usually never make properly comprehensive to the reader. When we talk about blogging, it’s acquiring a domain and writing on a specific niche. If you can pen down your thoughts in a specific genre, this is your thing and advertisements like Google AdSense can be a good way of earning money through blogging whilst if you are just a new registration with nil followers and viewers, this will bring no help. In India, most of the people make a mistake by considering writing articles, after going through different website contents regarding that topic as blogging. It indeed takes hard work and is also time-consuming for anyone to take reference from far-famed websites, giving a new explanation to the points they explained, and after all this, awaiting AdSense approval. This usually doesn’t work well and declined by Google, which makes the writer quit sooner than one can think. To have your content be treated as a quality source of information by Google, one needs to maintain ingenuity. There are many things in India which are not discussed by other bloggers, one can write over those issues using a personalized point of view and research in college. Talking about current issues, genuine problems of student life, a specialized research topic, and what not can be written about. When I speak about blogging, which I have myself done; I talk about people who have something unique and veritable to write about. There is a way of expressing, wielding a phrase, and making choice of the topic which will interest the reader. It requires patience to generate followers and viewers.
25. Products – You can create your own product, such as an ebook or computer software. You would then use your blog as a promotion tool to get people to buy your product. As long as you create a legitimate product with a whole lot of value, you should be able to get some buyers, but like everything else with a blog, you’ll need the traffic to get the sells.
Well, the work I had done in the first 3-4 months was really paying off for me that next year in 2014 (and it still does today in 2016). So for the year I was away from online marketing I was still making a very nice passive income from just 1 small website. Passively my 1 free website had made me between 12k – 15k in 12 months when I did absolutely nothing online since. WOW!. If that’s not the best business plan I don’t know what is.
Once you decide on a topic or niche, you should sit down and map out a plan for your internet business model. What market are you targeting, and how can you best serve that market? This is the angle you want to work from, vs the more common: how can I make the most money from this market? (Most people get it backwards and then get frustrated when that doesn't work out for them)
But that was 2007, and quite a bit has changed since then. Where a side business was once a novel idea, it has since become much more mainstream. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, freelancers now make up around 15% of the workforce, compared to only 7% in 1995. And the trend isn’t expected to stop here. The BLS reports that freelancers and self-employed individuals may comprise 20% of the workforce by 2020.
Freelancing isn’t all about writing, though it does include freelancing writing as one profession. Freelancer.com is one renowned site which connects freelancers to the marketplace, where their services are required. A freelancer is a self-employed worker in the fields consulting, journalism, writing, proofreading, event planning, software designing and debugging, copywriting, photography and so on. There are various online platforms that support freelancing whilst one can always look for freelancing jobs in the vicinity places. Elance.com is one website for freelancers and you can easily earn money from this website in India too.
In the past few years, this has become a popular way to make money. You start with a domain and develop it for some time. When it starts generating revenue and can make decent money, you sell it for profit. The benefit here is you don’t get into the risk of maintaining it for a very long time, and if the traffic drops for that website later, you are not at a loss.

So essentially we don’t do any of the tedious work the retailers normally do, yet we still get paid. Nice right. However, most beginners looking to make money online start with affiliate marketing. This is not a bad thing of course, but it’s a terrible thing when they are not taught how to correctly achieve the results they so desire. This is what leads to many people failing at making money online.
Most people want a few more dollars in their wallets. But between an employer and family, the time most of us can devote to a second job is severely limited. Running a small side business can provide a few more options: you don’t have to show up at a set time and you can use skills you already have. Not all will be perfect for everyone, of course, and I’m sure that you’ll have a few ideas of your own after reading this list. If you’d like to share any other business ideas, please add them in the comments.

It’s easy for some ‘Guru’ to say, you must learn how to make money online and then apply it to be successful. I recently met a woman who earned quite a bit of money as a very part-time chef. Once a week, she would go to someone’s house and prepare a homemade meal for their family, then do all the dishes and cleanup work. This gives the family plenty of together time, while putting some cash in the woman’s pocket. If you love to cook, this can be a great opportunity, but you may have to put a lot of effort into searching for clients.
Blogging is something that requires patience, persistence and discipline. It may mean writing everyday for over a year before you really start to see any money from it. There are exceptions to the rule, but from my dealings with other bloggers, it seems to be pretty common to spend one or even two years building your blog, your brand and your authority, before making any serious amount of money.
Blogging could be a nice way for students to earn some extra cash.  If you have a favorite hobby, you can just write content about it and share your content with others. You can blog about an academic subject or more you have good knowledge in, or write about non-academic topics on your blog. Hello Lynn.. I was reading your information about how to start a website and I found useful information, but I still have a question that need help with.. I sat down and wrote down my idea and developed a plan for every single area for the website... I wrote down my domain name.. Every thing is structured and planned on papers.. Now my question is: How do I get the website running?- For example: How to get your domain name registered? Where do I need to go? Do I need to do any trademarks? What kind of licence do I need? If I get a licence, do I still need to do the trademark? Is it better to do that with an attorney? Would I need an online business insurance? I've been trying to start the formal process to start my website, but, i always have these questions in my mind. I'll appreciate very very much any help/ recommendation you can provide me.. Im very motivated to do this because its one of my dreams too.. Thank you so much and I hope to hear from you soon! ~Erick
In my second year, I became one of the Smirnoff Brand Ambassadors. Becoming a brand ambassador is a great way of making money on the side, as well as enhancing your CV. Websites like Campus Industries advertise these jobs, and a lot of companies run their own schemes. It’s definitely worth looking into for anyone who wants to have a steady steam of extra income over the year.
